Holding On To Past Mistakes

Holding on to past mistakes is holding you back

Let’s be real, we have all made mistakes and wish we could change what we did.

The truth is we can’t change what happened, but we can change how we see it.

Did you learn something valuable from it?

Are you moving forward and putting the past in the past?

As believers in Christ, we don’t have to live in a constant state of feeling guilt by holding onto past mistakes.

Holding on to past mistakes keeps so many people from fully walking out the calling God has on their life.

We have all heard the Bible stories of those who answered God’s call and how He equipped them for the work He had for them to do.

Many of them felt inadequate either because of their past or who they thought they weren’t.

The problem is they had to trust and realize He would equip them for what He called them to do. It had nothing to do with their abilities.

It’s the same for you and I my friend. That’s why I want to encourage you to stop holding on to past mistakes and walk out the plan God has for you with boldness.

The Word of God says in 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 that the Word of God will complete us and equip us for the good works He has planned for us.

You might say, you don’t know what I did. God can’t use me. What if the apostle Paul thought that way? He murdered Christians. If God can use Him, He can certainly use you.

Ask God to help you to see yourself completely forgiven if you have accepted Jesus Christ and repented of your sin.

That means He does not hold your past mistakes against you.

That means He does not want you holding on to past mistakes either.

From this day forward I pray that you will boldly walk out the calling of God on your life and watch how He is glorified!
